Two good newses are for the defence services. First we have got the AWACS- the aerial eyes for the Indian Air Force (IAF) after wating for many years and now Israil made modern equipment mounted on IL-76 has already beeb landed at Ghandhinagar- the headquarter for South-Western Air Command (SWAC) of the IAF and very soon it would be officialy inducted in the IAF (most probably on May 28, 2009) at New Delhi. Another good news is, the front liner fighter aircrafts of the IAF- the SU-30 are now back in the sky.
However, arrival of AWACS and induction of it with the worlds's fourth best airforces was awaited since long, but it would really multiply our aerail strength, particularly when we are facing huge challenges from across the border as Pakistan has fallen under self made puzzle and fighting ( m not sure) with the Talibans. We all knows that Pakistan is a worst instabble country in the South Asia and is trying to show that it is really fighting the terror outfits, but howmuch we can relly upon its claim. Pakistan was on the line of war with India after Mumbai terror attack and it has deployed its army and alterted the Air Force along the western border. By the way it was not happened because of so many reasons, otherwise our forces were ready to reply any untoward action of the neighbour. Now we are having the AWACS and still ready to face the situation, but arrival of 'aeiral eyes' IAF could further ensure the unchallenged secutiry of the our sky with this new 'weapons'.
Now the talk about SU-30, it was a surprise accident not only for the IAF but also for the its original manufactures from Russia. This was the first crash of the Su-30 MKI in the region. Unfortunately it was grounded claiming a senior pilot- who was supposed to be the inspector for the aircraft and died as his perachut was failed to open timely. What was the reason behind the air crash is being investigated by the IAF and a team of Russian engineers have also been visited the site, but it was a shetback to the IAF after lossing a fighter (not only the ac but a trained pilot). Its now satisfactory that initial investigations are not indicating about much worries and the SU-30 are back on the line.
